CARMEL, IN
- March 24, 2011 - Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, a leading global
provider of hand geometry-based Schlage HandPunch biometric terminals for
collecting time and attendance information, announced today that it has signed
ADI Time, LLC of Warwick, RI as a business partner to purchase Schlage Biometrics'
full product line, including F-Series and the new GT-400 HandPunch terminals,
directly. ADI Time is a leading vendor of cloud computing time management
software services (SaaS) for small-to-mid-sized businesses and divisions of
large enterprises. This new direct relationship will foster synergy between
two industry leaders to help increase opportunities for ADI Time resellers
to provide increased solutions to their time and attendance and workforce
management customers.
"To
compliment our popular SaaS subscription service and licensed time and attendance
software, ADI Time was seeking a strong alliance with a leading provider of
biometric terminals in order to address the needs of our partner and user
communities," explains ADI Time CEO John DiPippo. "Partnering with
Ingersoll Rand provided us with both a uniquely differentiated product via
Schlage's hand geometry readers, and a direct relationship with an organization
that has the size, product breadth, and industry leadership to ensure we are
in the best position to delight our customers and maximize market exposure."
"ADI
Time has been successful providing payroll and human relations managers with
our Schlage HandPunch solutions for over a dozen years," adds Jon Mooney,
Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies general manager, Schlage biometrics.
"They are exactly the type of partner that can help organizations achieve
new levels in time and attendance and workforce management data collection
by leveraging the Schlage GT-400 HandPunch reader."
The Schlage
GT-400 is the first of a new generation of terminals created specifically
for time and attendance and workforce management applications. The smaller,
improved Schlage GT-400 HandPunch terminal uses the size and shape of each
employee's hand for verification, making it fast, efficient and easy to use.
With a large LCD screen and programmable soft keys, perfect for interactive
workforce management kiosks, the HandPunch GT-400 provides a conduit for employee
communication right at the terminal. Its Linux platform offers multiple time
and attendance/workforce management software developers with easy interface
options.
"Using
biometrics to automate the collection of time and attendance data can reduce
costly buddy punching, a problem when one employee clocks in or out for another,
manual review and correction of time data, and payroll error," emphasizes
DiPippo. "Millions of people throughout the world clock in and out of
work daily with a hand geometry reader. In conjunction with our software,
the HandPunch delivers a payback very rapidly."
