CARMEL, IN - April 8, 2010 - Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, a leading global provider of security and safety solutions and manufacturer of Schlage contactless credentials and readers, and Heartland Campus Solutions, a leading provider of campus card solutions, are partnering to offer next-generation contactless applications for the campus OneCard market.

The offering by Schlage and Heartland provides customers with a more open and secure contactless solution than other campus card products. The system offers a complete array of campus applications — from access control and cafeteria point-of-sale (POS) services to library, parking, event handling and more — with added security and the convenience of contactless smart credential technologies.

"We are excited about our relationship with Heartland," relates John Menzel, director of business development for Schlage. "By combining the openness and security of our contactless smart credentials with a myriad of campus applications, we can provide customers with more contactless applications and add value to the proprietary systems currently in the marketplace."

"Schlage is a leader in the credential space and, with its innovative credential and reader offering, we can offer customers an even more powerful, robust and secure solution," avows Fred Emery, vice president and general manager of Heartland Campus Solutions.
