New Levers, More Key Systems for
Popular Schlage ND-Series Cylindrical Lock

CARMEL, IND. - March 4, 2010 - Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies today announced that the Schlage ND-Series cylindrical lock is now compatible with Schlage Primus XP, Everest and Classic key systems as well as key systems from Sargent, Corbin Russwin and Yale. Lever designs include Athens, Rhodes, Sparta and Tubular as well as functions with the optional Vandlgard® feature which protects against excessive force and vandalism. Eight finishes assure the locks will match any décor.

"Since the introduction of the ND-Series lock, we have made many product improvements and enhancements, such as adding the ability to accept many of the most common commercial and institutional key systems," attests Doug Miller, Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, marketing manager. "As a result of our latest improvements, locksmiths and users can continue to use the ND-Series as their first choice in locks. It's one more reason why the ND-Series cylindrical lock continues to be our number one lock."

Extremely durable, ND-Series cylindrical locks exceed ANSI/BHMA certified A156.2 - 2003, Series 4000, Grade 1 standards. They are UL listed for a 3-hour fire door. The locks are also available with electrified and/or Request to Exit options. A throughbolt mechanism provides positive interlock to the door. Independent heavy duty spring cages provide effective lever support. Mounting screws are concealed.

"The new improvements to the ND-Series show how we continue to enhance and improve existing products while simultaneously introducing new locks, such as the AD-Series, our adaptable electronic lock from Schlage, which is based on the ND-Series design," emphasizes Miller.
