2009 - Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies today announced new UL294-listed
power supplies that support access control applications. Offering unparalleled
reliability and ease of installation, the new 500-ULAC 1-Amp and 3-Amp power
supplies, supplied standard with AC input, output and battery monitoring circuits,
will power devices locally or connect to an access control panel. By providing
low voltage, filtered and regulated power for a broad range of access control
devices and panels, the new Schlage power supplies meet the needs of both the
security and access control market segments.
"We've responded to
our customers' needs for expanded access control applications and a broader
UL listing, specifically, UL294," explains Eric White, Schlage product
manager - system components. "Schlage power supplies continue to be an
integral component for security applications by offering emergency interface
relay for connection to fire alarm systems. Our popular on-board rack accommodates
dual control modules and time control modules for interlocking doors and timed
entrances."
The two new Schlage 500-ULAC
power supplies are an excellent choice for both new construction or aftermarket
applications. Voltage is field selectable for 12 or 24 VDC. Low voltage, filtered
and regulated power is provided with a fused primary output and six heavy-duty
screw terminals.
Unique features include
an on-board rack with dual control module capability for interlocking applications
at higher security doors and a time control module for delayed egress. Other
features include a battery charging circuit, monitoring circuits, anti-tamper
switch and standby battery kits.
Options include an emergency
interface relay for connection to the fire alarm and a standby battery.
