New LCN 4040 Snap-on Cover Easy to Install

Keeps Buildings Looking Their Best While Managing Safety and Security

CARMEL, IND.- September 3, 2008 - Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies today announced the release of a new snap-on cover designed for use with LCN's most popular 4040 door closer. The new 4040 Snap-on Cover snaps on quickly and easily, yet stays securely in place to let closers look and perform at their best.

"Closers without covers are at risk for vandalism, dirt and unauthorized adjustment which can lead to compromised performance and security. Plus closers without covers detract from the looks of a building," advises Bruce Reynolds, LCN marketing manager. "The new 4040 snap-on cover keeps a building looking its best while protecting closers from damage and reduced performance. Best of all, the 4040 Snap-on Cover goes on quickly and stays in place securely."

Available in all LCN standard architectural finishes, no screws are required since a patented snap bracket, adjustable to fit both right- and left-handed doors, ensures fast, simple installation. A spring clip insert attaches to the spring tube of the door closer cylinder body. The non-handed clip holds the cover securely in place and does not become damaged when the cover is removed. The seamless construction yields lasting durability.

The new 4040 Snap-on Cover can be used with any 4040 series closer, regardless of age or other closer options. More information can be found on the LCN website at www.lcn.ingersollrand.com.
