New IR Security & Safety LockLink Express Software Manages Commercial and Multi-Family Electronic Access Platforms

New Features Include User Groups and Key Management

FORESTVILLE, CONN. – April 8, 2003 –IR Security & Safety’s Electronic Access Control Division (EACD) today announced that its latest revision of LockLink Express access control management software, version 3.0, lets “Locknetics on Board” users more effectively manage their facilities. In addition to managing Schlage CM locks, Von Duprin CM993 exit trim, Locknetics CT1000 controllers, Recognition Systems offline and online hand geometry readers, LockLink Express 3.0 allows Schlage e-Bolt system users to enjoy the benefits of the new software version.

“LockLink Express 3.0 improves access control and key management for both commercial facilities and multi-family residences,” reports Jeff Koziol, marketing manager for “Locknetics On Board” systems. “Our LockLink and LockLink Express software continues to be the cornerstone of our powerful electronic access control platforms. With the number of different types of openings we can manage with various credentials, we offer our channel partners and end-users flexibility and pathways for future migration.”

The new LockLink Express 3.0 supports all Schlage e-Bolt products, including the battery-powered e-Bolt deadbolt and the new e-Bolt Cobra lockset. Multi-family facilities can now manage common areas, perimeter and apartment openings with a single key.

With LockLink 3.0, access privileges can be now assigned en mass utilizing a new user access grouping feature, providing greater efficiencies when working with the system. Multiple credentials including PIN codes, iButtons, magnetic stripe cards, HID proximity and hand geometry, can be incorporated into the system. Users in the software can now be programmed to hold multiple credential types such as normal (momentary), toggle (maintained) and pass-thru or VIP credentials.

With LockLink Express 3.0, access rights can be assigned to users by credential and/or time function, providing the system operator with maximum flexibility to control the flow of people into, through and out of a facility. Selectable functions include time zones, time activation and expiration, auto unlock time scheduling, first person in and holiday scheduling. A variety of reports are available to help manage a facility more efficiently including audit trail data, access privileges data, and time function schedules by user or door.
