MONMOUTH JUNCTION,
NJ - March 24, 2011 - Infinova today announced that it has become the newest
member of the HDcctv Alliance and is listed on their website.
"By adding
a suite of HDcctv-compliant products to its already extensive portfolio of core
equipment for video control rooms, megapixel, IP and analog surveillance cameras,
specialized cameras, fiber optic communications products and customized systems,
Infinova continues to generate new tools and solutions which will help Infinova
integrators provide more choices to their end-user customers," affirms
Todd Rockoff, executive director of the HDcctv Alliance.
"Providing
all surveillance camera technologies, Infinova integrators can offer more solutions
to their customers, assuring that they choose the right video technology for
each and every application," adds Mark S. Wilson, Infinova vice president,
marketing. "Our integrators will not be handcuffed by selecting their camera
technology from the limited family that many manufacturers represent. If their
customer asks for HDcctv, they can say, 'Yes.'"
The HDcctv
comprehensive global interface standard derives from a set of standards, including
SMPTE-292M, developed by the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers
for application in broadcast television studios. Uncompressed, it is fully digital,
delivering 720 and 1080 video and full frame rate HDTV. HDcctv works with existing
coax without an adapter. There is near zero latency. Installation is simple
plug and play. Although the commissioned cost per video channel is more than
standard CCTV, it is lower than that of megapixel IP cameras. Lastly, it delivers
greater than 2 megapixel video without compressing the data.
