PALMDALE, CALIF.
- November 30, 2009 - Delta Scientific, the leading manufacturer of counter-terrorist
vehicle control systems used in the United States and internationally, today
announced that it now offers over fifty hydraulic barrier, barricade, bollard
and crash gate designs that can be run manually or on FDA-approved vegetable
oils. The units typically remain in the upright position to protect the facility
from terrorists and errant drivers. To let authorized vehicles through, they
are lowered and then raised once again when the vehicle has passed.
"Going
green is important to many companies and organizations worldwide who are trying
to minimize their carbon footprints," emphasizes David Dickinson, Delta
Scientific senior vice president. "With our green manual and hydraulic
vehicle control barrier, barricade, bollard and gate designs, we are helping
these customers to do exactly that."
Delta offers
eighteen styles of barricades, bollards, gates and beams with electromechanical
power, pneumatic power and hand operation. The hydraulic systems use a patented
low duty cycle design that reduces the motor size by three fold or more. Its
manually operated products are the ultimate in zero carbon footprint, simplicity,
low maintenance and quiet operation.
